A barbershop with
old-Tokyo precision.
An owner-operated barbershop on N Pacific Avenue. Hand-cut every chair, hot-towel finish, and a clipper that hasn't been put down in twenty years.
fig. 01 — the chair
· the shop
One barber. One chair. One blade.
Edo opened on N Pacific Avenue in 2003 and the same barber has been at the chair every day since. Each cut is scissor-over-comb or clipper-to-skin, hot-towel finish, neckline shaved with a single-blade straight razor.
We trained in Tokyo before opening in Glendale. The approach is restraint — short consultation, longer cut, no rush, and a finished style you can wear out the door.
Closed Sundays. Saturday we cap the day at twelve chairs and call it done.
· words
From the chair.
"I have not had a haircut from anyone else since 2009. Edo remembers my cut by the way I hang my coat. He never asks the same question twice, and the work is the same week one and week one thousand."
— Hayk T. · Fifteen-year client
"Asked for a skin fade and got the cleanest version I've ever had. The straight-razor edge-up is the part most barbers rush; Edo gave it a full ten minutes. Best forty-five bucks I spent this month."
— Marco D. · First skin fade
"Brought my dad in for his first cut here when I was twelve. Twenty-two years later we still book the chair together. The work is consistent and the conversation is even better."
— Tom J. · Father-and-son tradition
